Buda is a Hays County city on I-35 just south of the Austin city limits. It has a small historic downtown and a ring of newer communities around it, and it is the shortest drive to south Austin of any city on this side of the metro.
Builders here cover first homes through larger move-up plans. Because it is close in, homes sell steadily, and the better incentives tend to be on move-in ready homes a builder wants closed by month end.

How far is Buda from Austin?
Buda is the first city south of Austin on I-35. FM 1626 leads to the SH 45 Southwest toll road and MoPac, which gives commuters a second route into southwest Austin.
How does Buda compare with Kyle?
Buda is closer to Austin and usually priced a little higher for a similar plan. Kyle is the next city south with more communities to choose from. Bryant can put the two side by side for the homes on this week's sheet.
